Everyone uses their home differently, and we all have our own sense of style. Our designers take the time to understand what you’re looking for, and work with you to bring your vision to life.

Consultation

Visit one of our showrooms for a free initial consultation. We’ll ask about your design preferences and explore the showroom, highlighting materials and styles that could suit your project. This allows us to get a feel for the style you love, and you’ll begin to get a sense of what can be achieved. We also explore how you like to use your home, so we can create a space that not only meets your budget, but will be a pleasure to use. Finally, we’ll confirm the any appliances you need and the basic measurements of your space.

From there, your experienced Prime Kitchens designer will begin work on your bespoke design.

Design and layout

Your designer will draft the layout and design of your space, along with a price estimate. We’ll invite you back into our showroom to go through the design. Design is a collaborative process, and we welcome your questions and feedback; it’s important to us that you feel involved in the process, and that your ideas are heard and incorporated in the finished design.

If you would like to explore different design options or make changes, the next step is payment of your $500 Project Engagement Fee. This is deducted from your deposit when you confirm your project.

Feedback

Your designer will incorporate your feedback and any changes, and complete your custom design. We’ll take you through the design, layout, features and inclusions in detail, to help you to visualise what your completed project will look like, and understand what you will be supplied with. Once we’ve confirmed all of the details, you will be required to sign off on your plans, elevations, quote and terms of sale.

Following sign off, we’ll request payment of your 50% deposit (less the $500 Project Engagement Fee). When your deposit has been processed, we’ll arrange a qualified site measure to ensure a perfect fit.

Manufacture

Once we’ve received your deposit, our team will order materials and begin the manufacturing process. Every Prime Kitchen is built to order in our Christchurch manufacturing plant. Once your project has been built, you will be asked to pay the balance remaining on your invoice, less installation costs, and we’ll book your installation date.

Install

Installation generally takes 1-2 days, depending on the size and design. We’ll work in with any other tradespeople involved in the project to make sure you have a smooth experience. Once the installation is complete, one of our expert team will complete a Quality Assurance check. Any remaining balance for installation will be due once your project has been signed off, and your warranty will take effect as soon as the installation is complete.
